Hijrah (emigration) for the sake of Allah (CC), means moving from the land of shirk to the land of Islam, as Muslims moved from Makkah to Madinah. The aim of this migration is not for financial gains but to be able to practise faith more easily. The importance of hijrah is immortalised with the beginning of the Islamic calendar starting the year our prophet (SAW) emigrated to Madinah. Moreover, other prophets including Ibraheem, Musa and Lut all emigrated for the sake of Allah (CC). Putting their complete reliance and trust in Allah (CC).
